When Alignment Feels Like It’s Slipping (But Isn’t)

You’re not failing at manifestation.
You’re not out of alignment.
And nothing is “wrong” with you.
In this episode of Own Your Shift with Kim, we’re talking about a moment that almost everyone experiences when they start doing gratitude, manifestation, or alignment work—but almost no one talks about it.
That moment when you’re feeling so good…
Grounded. Present. Aligned.
And then—out of nowhere—a negative thought drops in and your mood dips just enough to notice.
Most people assume that means:
“This isn’t working”
“I’m not healed yet”
“I must need to fix something else”
But that assumption is where so many people quietly pull themselves out of alignment.
In this episode, I share a real-time experience I had while practicing The Rampage of Appreciation from The Art of Allowing by Esther and Jerry Hicks—and the insight that completely changed how I understand alignment, emotional awareness, and growth.
Why alignment does not mean your mind goes quiet forever
What that “random negative thought” actually represents
How emotional awareness improves before emotional mastery
Why noticing misalignment faster is a sign of progress, not regression
How engaging with a thought gives it weight—and how not engaging frees you
The difference between resistance and gentle redirection
Why sensitivity isn’t weakness—it’s fluency
How your nervous system may try to pull you back to “neutral” for protection
The simple question that keeps you aligned without forcing positivity
Alignment isn’t about never having an off thought again.
It’s about trusting yourself enough to notice when something doesn’t match—and choosing not to chase it.
Just like when you clean one small area and suddenly notice the dust everywhere else—nothing new appeared.
Your awareness simply sharpened.
The next time a thought dips your mood during meditation, gratitude, prayer, or visualization, ask:
“Does this thought match how I want to feel right now?”
If the answer is no:
Don’t analyze it
Don’t fix it
Don’t judge yourself for having it
Simply let it pass and gently return to where you were.
That’s alignment.
Not force. Not perfection. Presence.
If this episode resonated, I’d love to hear how you apply this in your own practice.

Until next time—
remember, alignment isn’t about controlling your thoughts.
It’s about trusting yourself enough not to follow the ones that don’t belong anymore.
